This week I have an embarrassment of riches in the supplies cupboard.
I found a new supplier (new to me anyway) and went a little mad with my first purchase. But what gems! Look at these kick ass Alice stamps! In their own tin!
I bought a couple of other stamps too because I want to make more stationery and art tags. I do like an art tag and they make card making so much easier if you have a bunch to hand.
The store has such pretty things at such bargainous prices how could one resist!
I always wondered where other bloggers were getting these glorious pins from.
This sticker made me laugh; I might just stick it on myself when I go out.
I’m afraid I couldn’t resist the lure of more washi tape. My collection has now completely outgrown its box and now has a bigger container.
It’s still not the most stylish thing but until I find something better it will do to keep it all in one place. I do actually use the tape, not just sit and look at it (though that is tempting). I have been keeping my pens, pencils and whatnot in old tin cans for as long as I can remember. I kept meaning to cover them with something but could never settle on anything, and then there was the problem of what to do with the contents while glue or paint was drying. Enter the washi! (sounds like a martial arts film :) )
There’s a bit of a polka dot thing going on, but I am partial to a polka dot. Not too sure about the pink and blue one but I think it’s growing on me.
I also added to my postcard collection with this beauty.

Ooh look it’s the Eiffel Tower again, another one of my pet obsessions :) This card dates from the early 20th Century and the back is somewhat foxed, though I did check it for coffee smells to make sure it hadn’t been aged artificially, well there are some odd people out there.
I made some new bracelets yesterday with my old friend the memory wire.

Trying to find the end in that lot is as difficult as finding the edge of the cellotape! It honestly drives me to distraction; if the end results weren’t totally worth the hassle I don’t think I’d use it nearly as much.
Who knew lime and red would work together? I thought of it when I was lying in bed failing to get to sleep, I have some of my best ideas then.
I also made a new necklace.

I like the turquoise colour. The bow came in one of those mixed bags of stuff which I get and then wonder what on earth I’m going to with. I’ve listed these in my store along with a bunch of crocheted wire jewellery. This means I can make some more, it’s ages since I’ve had the old hook out.
So, what sweet treat has got me through the week this week? Only custard cream cupcakes!

I’m not sure if custard cream biscuits are a thing outside of the U.K. but they are delicious, possibly my favourite store bought biccie. I recreated them as a cupcake by substituting 1oz/25g of the flour for the same weight in Bird’s Custard Powder and did the same for 1oz of the icing sugar to make the buttercream. They were so good I can’t tell you.
Well, that was my week, hope yours was as good.
Enjoy your Sunday.
