Simple Paper Bead Roller.
This is how I make my paper bead rollers, I've made them in 1/4", 1/2", 1" and 1.25" but they start to get a little fragile at the larger size so I wouldn't go any bigger. They can also be used for paper quilling which is an awesome craft.
I'm going to be making a 1/2" roller here. As always, click on the pictures to enlarge them.
First off, assemble your kit.

The first thing you're going to do is cut off the points, both ends, of the stick with the strong scissors. I am duty bound to warn you about flying bits and making sure that your eyes are protected and that there are no small children, pets or other vulnerable types in the vicinity. I'm lucky, I live alone and can fling things around with impunity. When you've cut off the points, sand the ends to get rid of any potential splinters etc.

Take your knife and starting at the mark carefully split the stick. I usually stick the point in at the mark and gently, gently wiggle it until it's through. If you go too hard then the stick will break and you'll have to start over. When the point is through I lower the blade until most of the sharp edge is against the stick and then split the rest.

Now you have a very simple bead roller we can move on to rolling the beads woohooo!
