This week has just flown by; it has been really productive though.
You know when you get a bee in your bonnet about something? Well that was me over stationery type things. I have cut, folded, punched, glued and gummed a whole bunch of stuff. I haven’t yet listed them in my store because there isn’t enough yet to warrant a whole new section. I don’t like it when you click on a link in a store and only find a couple of things, I’m all about the abundance :)
I have a bunch of magazine envelopes which I’m going to sell in packs of ten.

They are all gummed so just lick and seal like regular envelopes (finally using the remoistenable adhesive for its intended purpose) and have a large white label for writing the address or whatever else people write on envelopes. I use a lot of envelopes for stashing punched out tags and whathaveyou so they are multi-purpose :)
On the subject of punched out tags I’ve been printing and punching tons of those in various designs.

I’m going to list those in packs of ten also, I may add twine to them , not sure yet. I made a tag to add stud earrings to which I’m enormously pleased with, especially with the black and white twine.
After seeing the little cab sat on a tag I realised that I could use them for more than stud earrings; it’s all a case of where to poke the holes. I could cut little slots in them and then they could be used for hair clips. I’m sure brooches would work too.
The little Eiffel Tower cab in the picture came in one of those mixed lots of stuff I’m so fond of, the cab frame was originally a really shiny silver which didn’t look right, so I gave it a sanding down and went in search of matt black paint which I know I have somewhere. After hunting high and low unsuccessfully I was going to give up when I remembered some matt black nail varnish which was stashed away, well any port in a storm I dug it out and used it instead (it’s by Urban Outfitters incidentally). A couple of coats and Bob is very much your uncle. Not sure what to do with it now, it’s too small for a brooch, maybe a ring or a pendant......or I might add a couple of doodads and sew it to some black ribbon to make a choker. Either way it’s mine, go get your own.

I made a bunch of stud earrings but I really hate the backs that came with the posts so I’ll have to find some better ones. I found a neat way of making sure they stayed still while the glue went off – sand!
It is vanilla scented too, I think it’s for putting in ashtrays to keep the smell down, it gives the studs a faint vanilla waft which is quite nice. I made myself a couple of pairs, well why not.
I haven’t made any bag charms in an age and I do like to hang dingle-dangles on my bags. So I made a bunch of those, I’ve listed them in the shop but I secretly hope (well not secretly now) that no one buys the red and orange one because I want to keep it.
I couldn’t make another one even if I wanted to (against my policy to duplicate anything) because I don’t have the same beads which is the downside to buying random mixed lots.
Oh! I almost forgot, back to the stationery (geez I’m all over the place this week), I spent a fun day designing a sticker sheet; it is A6 in size and has most of my favourite motifs on.

It is printed on to sticker paper, which I finally got around to buying, actually for address labels but I have a history of using things for anything other than what I bought them for. Now I just have to learn how to cut through the sticker paper without going through the backing sheet, this, I can tell you, is not easy and the sticker sheet is currently is several pieces.
No cupcakes this week booo, haven’t had time :( I better sort out my priorities for next week :)
Happy Sunday!
